We provide professional clothing alterations, bespoke tailoring, and dressmaking services, including but not only:
Alterations and repairs to existing garments.
Made-to-measure and custom dressmaking.
Fittings and personal consultations.
Bridal, formalwear, and occasion tailoring.
We welcome customers on a walk-in basis and do not charge for consultations or appointments. You are welcome to visit our shop at any time during opening hours for fittings, alterations, or design discussions.
Please note that, during busy periods, there may be a short waiting time of approximately 15–30 minutes before we are able to assist you. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
If you prefer to schedule a specific time for your fitting or consultation, you may book in advance by phone, email, or through our website. While we do our best to adhere to all bookings, appointment times are offered subject to staff and fitting room availability.
If you need to change or cancel a booking, we kindly ask that you give us as much notice as possible. Repeated cancellations or missed appointments may result in the suspension or withdrawal of our services.
We reserve the right to cancel service or rearrange appointments where necessary, including in circumstances of illness, staff shortage, or other unforeseen events. Should this occur, we will notify you promptly and offer an alternative time.
All made-to-measure, bespoke, and custom garment orders are created specifically to your individual measurements and design preferences. Each piece is carefully crafted by hand and cannot be resold or reused once work has begun.
To confirm your order, a non-refundable deposit — typically 50% of the total price — is required before any materials are ordered or work commences. This deposit secures your place in our production schedule and covers the cost of fabrics, fittings, and labour preparation.
Once work has started — including fabric cutting, pattern creation, or initial fittings — the order cannot be cancelled, and the deposit will be retained. Any remaining balance will be due upon completion and before collection or delivery of the garment.
If you request changes to the design, fabric choice, measurements, or style after approval or after work has begun, additional charges may apply. Such changes may also extend the expected completion date, depending on the extent of the alteration. We will always discuss and agree any additional costs and new timelines with you before proceeding.
We take care to ensure all garments are made to the agreed specifications and measurements. Fittings are provided to check progress and make necessary adjustments, but once a final fitting has been approved, any further alterations requested will be treated as a new, chargeable service.
We take great pride in the quality of our alteration and repair services, and every garment is handled with the utmost care and attention. Customers are responsible for providing accurate instructions and ensuring that each garment is suitable for the work requested.
Before starting any alteration or repair, we will assess the item and advise you of any visible risks or limitations. Some garments — particularly those that are delicate, vintage, pre-worn, previously altered, or made from speciality fabrics such as silk, lace, leather, or beaded materials — may present challenges that affect the outcome. Where possible, we will explain these risks in advance.
While we take all reasonable precautions, alterations and repairs are carried out at the customer’s own risk. We cannot be held liable for damage arising from pre-existing weaknesses, hidden defects, fabric shrinkage, dye transfer, colour loss, or structural issues that were not apparent prior to the work being undertaken.
If, during the alteration process, we identify an issue that may compromise the result or integrity of the garment, we will pause the work and contact you to discuss the best course of action before proceeding.
Following completion, if you are not satisfied with the fit or finish, please contact us promptly — ideally within 14 days — so that we can review the garment and, where appropriate, make reasonable adjustments at our discretion.
During fittings, we may record your measurements to ensure a proper fit. You agree that your presence or approval at the fitting constitutes acceptance of the final fit unless further adjustments are requested.
Full payment is due upon completion and before collection.
Garments not collected within 90 days may be donated or disposed of after written notice.
Payment methods accepted: card, cash, or bank transfer.
Due to the personalised nature of our services, refunds are not available once work has started, unless there is a demonstrable fault in workmanship. We will make reasonable adjustments if an issue arises within 14 days of collection.
We take utmost care of all garments. However, liability for loss or damage is limited to the cost of the service provided, unless otherwise required by law.We are not liable for pre-existing damage, hidden fabric weaknesses, or shrinkage during alteration.
We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as illness, equipment failure, or supplier delays.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Scottish law.Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
By submitting this form, you consent to the processing of your personal data for the purpose of responding to your inquiry. Please note that due to the volume of work, it may occasionally take a little longer to receive a response.
